Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions families ask most often. For detailed rules and policies, also read the Parent Information page.
How does a new gymnast join Kolorido?
Start by completing the try-out form. When a suitable place is available, Kolorido sends an invitation for a trial class. Only after the trial and confirmation that your child will continue should you complete the official membership registration form.
Can my child come for a trial without an invitation?
No. Trial classes are by invitation so Kolorido can first check the suitable group and whether space is available.
What is the difference between Kolorido Stars and Royal Stars?
Kolorido Stars are the recreational groups, primarily organized by age. Royal Stars are the competitive pathway and placement uses physical/technical skills testing, age and coach evaluation. Royal Stars have a higher training and competition commitment.
Do Royal Stars have to compete?
Royal Stars are required to compete at all local competitions and one international competition of their choosing to select through the Royal Stars competition selection form.
Royal Stars competition selection ↗Can recreational Kolorido Stars compete internationally?
Yes. Recreational Kolorido Stars can be offered the opportunity to compete internationally at their own level. Interested families use the recreational international competition form.
International competition opportunity ↗What happens during school breaks?
Regular classes are closed on the school-break dates shown in the season calendar. Royal Stars will have separate training camps during school-break periods. Additional fees apply and camp dates/times are communicated separately.
What should my child wear?
A Kolorido uniform is required. If it is your first time attending or Kolorido uniforms are temporarily out of stock, traditional gymnastics attire may be worn: a leotard for girls, and a gymnastics top/leotard with shorts and/or stirrup/pommel pants for boys. Hair must be tied back and all jewelry must be removed. Hoop earrings of any size are not permitted. Skirts, tutus, and short shirts/crop tops are not allowed. Please see the Parent Information document for the complete clothing and uniform policy.
Can parents stay during class?
Kolorido prefers parents not to stay during regular lessons to reduce distraction, except for Tiny Stars and Super Stars ages 3–4 where a parent/caregiver is requested. Parents who stay use the fan tribune and may not enter the gymnastics floor during training.
How are monthly fees paid?
Invoices are issued on the 24th and paid in advance before the 9th. Even if you have not received an invoice, the applicable fee must still be paid on time unless your participation has been officially terminated. Late payments are subject to a XCG 5,- fine. Payment is by bank (MCB 30550000, please mention name of gymnast or invoice number), SWAIP or Sentoo; cash is not accepted. Finance questions can be sent to +5999 529 0060.
How do I terminate membership?
Use the official online termination form to cancel participation. A full one-month notice period applies, with terminations taking effect at the end of the applicable month according to the membership rules. Class fees remain payable until the termination has been correctly completed and has taken effect. Termination is considered final only once all outstanding dues have been paid and no open balance remains.
Termination form ↗Where can I buy a Kolorido Uniform or other gymnastics items?
Use the Kolorido Webshop for Uniform ordering, available merchandise and club items.
Open Webshop ↗What is Open Gymnastics?
Open Gymnastics is the possibility to train independent under your own responsibility and is offered on selected dates from 3–7 pm. A waiver must be signed before entering the gym. Check the Season Calendar for the exact dates and follow social media or contact Kolorido before coming because availability can change.
